Hello! Welcome to Stacked by Stac. My name is Stacy, AKA the Stac behind the name. I am happy you're here!

Growing up, my mom was the mastermind in the kitchen baking up all sorts of sweets. Over the years she taught me all her tricks and treats. We made anything from cookies to cheesecakes to all sorts of bars, enjoying not only the process of baking together but the final product too! But one sweet treat we never made from scratch was cake! Through college, I loved to make (my then) boyfriend a special cheesecake for his birthday each year. I loved watching his excitement when he would first see it and then his enjoyment after the first bite. These emotions from a food I made was everything to me!!

Fast forward a couple of years to 2020, a month before his birthday he requested cupcakes instead of cheesecake. It was appalling to me to think of making him cupcakes from a box mix when I had spoiled him so many years before (don't get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with a box cake mix!! They are easy and convenient). I decided to find a recipe from scratch and gave it a go. The cupcakes turned out great! The decorating.... well, not so much... This fueled my desire to learn more and grow my baking and decorating skills.

Now here we are, after lots of reading, watching and trial-and-error I have taught myself how to bake and decorate personalized cakes for you! I love every second and look forward to making your day extra special!
